We plan to dive every week throughout the year, usually a single tank dive on Sunday mornings but this can vary if the organiser wants to do something different - maybe a night dive at full moon, or a 2 tank dive on the less accessible East Coast. We use the different dive operators on the island and get to see a wide variety of dive sites.
Members take turns organising the weekly dive, and the choice of operator and site is up to the organiser. No diving skills required to organise a dive and you can 'buddy up' with someone else if you want. On average, each Badass’n member organizes one to two dives a year.
We meet every month for the BADASS monthly meeting, usually on the first Thursday in the month. This gives members an opportunity to meet socially and participate in club decisions. The formal part of the meeting reviews the club’s finances, membership issues and any safety issues. We also plan our social events, dive trips, share news, discuss equipment & safety tips and manage the dive schedule. Of course with any Badass event there is beer, snacks and a lot of dive banter!
All members are encouraged to give their feed-back on the Club and take part in its organization. In October the Club holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM). This takes the form of a family day out with lots of food, drink and fun. This is when most members renew their membership, we elect volunteers to work on the Club committee and make more significant decisions when necessary.
Social Events and Other Activities
Any excuse will do to party and laugh with Badass’n! Birthdays, the departure of a member from the island, Easter, New Year … are all good reasons to party. Sometimes at one of our members’ home, sometimes on a catamaran cruise or on the beach, we like to meet and have fun together. The club has its own Bar-B-Que to make it easier to arrange.

As an active participant of the marine life conservation, we encourage our members to join in activities organized by conservation groups, research organisations and NGOs. We have helped conservation events held by the CZMU, CERMES, the Future Centre Trust, the Barbados Marine Trust, CORRALL and the PADI Aware Project.
