Diving is more enjoyable and rewarding when you experience it with others! Our members have varying backgrounds, experience and are qualified to different levels - once you're certified, you're welcome! Our members include some highly experienced divers who are happy to help others and share their knowledge with less experienced divers - we were all newbies once!
BADASSn is a social club with the aim of fun, affordable and safe diving. We are not a dive operator or training provider, so when you dive with us you are responsible for your own safety. That said, we want all our members to be confident that new members are capable divers and willing to take responsibility for their own safety, so we need evidence of your certification and acceptance of the Assumption of Risk (club waiver) document. If you haven't dived for a while, we would appreciate that you take a refresher dive with an instructor before you join a club dive.
We have some club rules that we ask members to abide by. You can view these rules here.
The first step to join BADASSn is to complete the online form using the link below. You will need to upload a scan/ photo of your dive card. Your application will be acknowledged, but as we are a volunteer organisation, please be patient but don't hesitate to remind us if it's taken more than 2 days to respond.
You need to pay a one-time BBD $30 joining fee (usually at your first dive) and then you'll be the newest BADASSn member!
We don't charge membership fees, and, whilst this may change one day, the joining fee is effectively a life membership but we do need our members to participate in running the club. We keep in touch by email using a dedicated service limited to Active members (no spam allowed) or by a WhatsApp group. Members that have not participated in club activities for a while may be switched to 'Inactive' or members can unsubscribe anytime. Inactive members can request re-activation anytime.
If you have any questions, just ask us using the 'Contact Us' box that lurks around the bottom of our web pages or use the Contact Us form.
